The GOHSEP Training and Exercise Branch is responsible for providing Homeland Security and Emergency Management Training and Exercise opportunities.

The GOHSEP Training Program coordinates numerous homeland security and emergency management training opportunities for first responders and other emergency management professionals. From LAHEPP to free Department of Homeland Security training, the GOHSEP Training program strives to offer courses that will better prepare Louisiana’s responders for any emergency.

The GOHSEP All-Hazards Exercise Program provides overall coordination for exercises, following the Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP). These exercises focus on homeland security, emergency management and the three Fixed Nuclear Facilities (FNF) within or affecting the state. The FNF exercises are coordinated by the Radiological Emergency Program within the exercise program.
